Gamma Hospital is a joint venture hospital, established in 1992 together with APMG and FuDan University affiliated Hua Shan Hospital. In July 2003, a total of more than 9000 gamma- knife cases were performed. It has set the world’s record of the most numbers of single table Leksell gamma-knife procedures performed at a centre; a 4% of the total reported cases worldwide and 7.7% of the total reported cases in Asia. Shanghai Gamma Hospital received the award of “Elected Advanced High-tech Enterprise”, the only hospital to be awarded this honor.
