Arthroscopic ACL/MCL Repair

Arthroscopic ACL/MCL Repair

Knee pain is a common problem with many causes that can affect people of all ages. It can originate in any of the body structures compromising the knee joint (femur, tibia, fibula), the kneecap (patella), or the ligaments and cartilage (meniscus) of the knee.

Arthroscopy is a procedure in which uses a small camera to both diagnose and treat knee pain. It is by far the most common procedure used when performing a knee surgery. The least invasive surgical procedure and usually has the quickest form of rehabilitation afterward.

St. Michael Hospital had successfully performed Arthroscopic ACL (anterior cruciate ligament)/MCL (medial collateral ligament) Repair surgery. Diagnosed and supervised by Dr. Sanjeev Choubey and surgery performed by Dr. David Mu together with arthroscopic surgeon. Ongoing rehabilitation program for the patient is headed by Dr. Joseph.
